Contract: Full-time

Salary: £24,000–£30,000 depending on experience

Caledonian Braves FC and Caledonian Braves Academy are building a transparent and forward-thinking football club with a global ownership community. This role is an opportunity to help shape how the club is seen, felt and experienced every day by owners, supporters, players and the wider football audience.

The club is looking for a full-time, on-site Content & Community Lead to bring the project to life across video, graphics and social media, and to strengthen engagement with a growing global community.

The Role

The Content & Community Lead will own how Caledonian Braves shows up online across first-team football, academy activity, matchdays and behind-the-scenes moments. The role combines hands-on content creation, visual storytelling, social media management and daily interaction with the club’s ownership community.

This is a role for someone who lives and breathes football, understands short-form content and social platforms, and is excited by the chance to tell the real story of a modern club. Being on site is essential, with regular access to training, matchdays and academy life central to the authenticity and quality of the content.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a content calendar across the football season, academy programme and key club milestones.
  • Capture, edit and publish short-form video content across key social platforms (for example YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Instagram Reels).
  • Create on-brand graphics for fixtures, line-ups, goals, announcements and ownership updates.
  • Manage the club’s social media presence with a consistent, engaging and authentic voice.
  • Engage actively with the global ownership community through comments, messages, polls, Q&A sessions and community-led content.
  • Work closely with club leadership, coaching staff, players and academy personnel to identify strong stories and access opportunities.
  • Track content performance and audience engagement, using insights to improve and refine output over time.
  • Stay up to date with football, creator and social media trends, bringing fresh ideas and formats into the club.

About You

The ideal candidate is a hands-on creator with strong instincts for storytelling, visual content and audience engagement. You are comfortable filming, editing, designing, writing and publishing content at pace, especially in a live sporting environment.

You believe in openness and understand the value of making a club feel accessible to its community. You are entrepreneurial, reliable and motivated by the idea of helping build one of the most transparent and community-driven clubs in football.

Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Proven experience creating content for social media, ideally in sport, football, media or entertainment.
  • Strong video shooting and editing skills for social-first and vertical formats.
  • Good graphic design ability using tools such as Canva, Photoshop or similar.
  • Experience managing social media channels or online communities.
  • Strong copywriting and caption-writing skills.
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends in line with training and match schedules.

Desirable

  • Experience working in football, academy environments or live sport.
  • Experience hosting live sessions, interviews or interactive fan/community formats.
  • Familiarity with analytics and reporting across major social platforms.
  • Confidence working independently while collaborating closely with club staff and leadership.
