The RCT Senior Community Warden is a key frontline leadership position responsible for supervising and supporting an established team of 10 Community Wardens delivering environmental enforcement, community safety and public engagement services across the borough.
The Senior Community Warden will act as a primary point of contact for the team, ensuring high standards of service delivery, staff performance and community engagement. Key responsibilities include overseeing the day to day operations of the Community Warden service, managing staff rotas and performance and co-ordinating training needs. The Senior Community Warden will also support and co-ordinate proactive patrols in residential areas and town centres to identify, prevent and respond to environmental issues, anti-social behaviour and public safety concerns, providing reassurance to residents.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a history of leadership, decision making abilities and excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as experience in enforcement, community engagement and partnership working.
The post will require an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check and the successful candidate will be expected to work on a 2 week shift rota of 7am-3pm and 12pm-8pm.
