Fleet Support Officer

Salary: £32,061 to £32,597 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week
Location: Carlisle and Dalston
Contract: Permanent
Purpose of the role
The post-holder will be part of a small team providing a broad range of technical and administrative functions cutting across all aspects of theCouncil’s Fleet Servicesactivities and projects.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Providinga range oftechnical,administrative, transactional activitiesacross fleet and workshopservices,providing advice to clients as necessary.
- Effectiveoperation of variousspecialistand genericsoftware systems,supporting the production of performance reports across Fleet Services activities.
- Provide support forvehicle procurementin accordance with established procedures.
- Provide ‘service desk / reception’ cover as necessary atmultipleworkshoplocations across Cumberland, handling payments from customers.
- To support the effective management of the council’s pool / hire car offer, includingmonitoringthe utilisation / status of electric vehicle charge-points.
- To support the effective management of occupational road risk across the Council, including driving licence checks, driving assessment and training etc.
