Are you passionate about making a real difference in your community while growing your career?
If so, this is your opportunity to use your skills to help us deliver value, quality, and great service.
The Role
As the Safety Business Partner, you will play a key role in enabling teams across Trivallis to make health, safety, and wellbeing part of how we work every day. You’ll help colleagues feel confident and in control of the risks in their service areas, so that everyone goes home safe and well.
You will be supporting Trivallis’ teams in managing risk in practical, proportionate ways. You’ll coach line managers to lead investigations that focus on what happened and why, so every incident becomes a chance to learn. You’ll carry out safety tours and inspections alongside teams, recognising good practice as well as opportunities to improve. You’ll also turn incident data and trends into clear insight for our Health and Safety Committee and keep our SharePoint Incident Management System and H&S Hub working well for colleagues.
Working closely with colleagues from different departments, including our People Team, and with our partners, suppliers, and contractors, you will be enabling a positive, people-centred safety culture where responsibility is owned at every level. By building on what already works and using strengths-based conversations, you’ll help teams find their own solutions to grow in confidence and capability.
About You
We’re looking for a collaborative, curious and approachable individual who believes the best safety outcomes come from working alongside people. You’ll share our values of being Kind, Trustworthy, Inclusive and Progressive.
You’ll hold a National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety (or equivalent) and be a member of Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).
Excellent listening, communication, and influencing skills are key. You’ll have experience of coaching, facilitation, strengths-based approaches, and of building relationships across multi-disciplinary teams. You’ll be able to interpret data and turn it into a clear story for others. You’ll also be confident with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Forms, PowerPoint, and SharePoint) and have experience of maintaining an automated incident management system.
You’ll be well organised and able to balance a varied workload under pressure, handling sensitive information with discretion. A full UK driving licence and the ability to travel across our sites are required, and reasonable adjustments will be considered.
If you’re passionate about enabling people to feel safe, supported, and confident at work, we’d love to hear from you.
