  • Maintain accurate records within finance and business systems.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to resolve invoice, payment, and account queries.
  • Assist with month-end reporting activities and financial administration tasks.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Support the wider IP team with administrative and reporting activities where required.
  • Develop an understanding of Intellectual Property processes, including patent and trademark portfolio management, and how these activities are supported from a financial perspective.

About You

  • Degree educated in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Mathematics, Law, or a related discipline.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills or a willingness to develop them.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable working with financial data and reporting tools.
  • Proactive, curious, and eager to learn.
  • An interest in finance, commercial operations, and innovation-driven businesses.

Desirable Experience

  • Previous internship, placement year, or work experience in a finance, accounting, business support, legal, or professional services environment.
  • Experience working with financial systems, ERP platforms, or reporting tools.
  • Understanding of budgeting, accounts payable, financial reconciliation, or spend management processes.
  • An interest in Intellectual Property, innovation, technology, or legal services.

What We Offer

  • Exposure to both Finance and Intellectual Property functions.
  • Mentoring from experienced finance and IP professionals.
