Hello! We’re Marshfield Farm, a home, a farm and a multi award-winning ice cream maker. Owned and ran by the Hawking family since 1988, we tend to eleven hundred acres of farmland on the Cotswold Way and every drop of fresh milk in our ice cream can be traced back to the fields we call home. Our award-winning flavours are all made here on the farm, our fresh milk is taken only metres into our on-site ice creamery where it remains the primary ingredient across our galaxy of flavours!

We’re B Corp certified and farm regeneratively. You’ll find our ice cream in restaurants, cafes, farm shops and parlours all over the country.

The role

We're looking for an organised, resourceful and commercially minded Sales Support Executive to join our team at Marshfield Farm.

You'll work closely with our National Accounts team, whilst also providing support to our wider Sales team, helping to keep customer relationships, commercial administration and projects on track.

One day you might be sorting out a pricing query or preparing an important customer report. The next, you'll be coordinating a new account launch, organising freezer installations or helping resolve an online order issue.

This isn't a traditional sales role. You'll be the person who keeps everything moving behind the scenes: spotting what needs doing, juggling competing priorities and taking responsibility for seeing things through, so customers get the service they deserve.

You'll be based onsite at our farm, working alongside colleagues across sales, finance, marketing and operations.

What you'll be doing

Your core role is supporting our National Accounts team, with the wider Sales team alongside:

  • Handling customer requests, account administration and follow-up actions, and keeping work moving by confidently chasing colleagues, suppliers and customers until things are done.
  • Preparing sales agreements, price files, customer reports and other commercial documents.
  • Checking customer claims, credits and pricing, spotting discrepancies and helping resolve them.
  • Coordinating customer projects, tenders, new account launches and own-label enquiries from first conversation to delivery.
  • Keeping HubSpot, Excel and our other systems accurate so the team can trust the numbers and track what’s been agreed.

We’re a small team on a working farm, so you’ll also pitch in on:

  • Organising freezer installations, equipment orders and supplier arrangements for new and existing customers.
  • Supporting our DTC & B2B ecommerce shop with order management, stock queries and customer enquiries.
  • Getting the farm and parlour ready for key customer visits, so everything is in place and presented as it should be.

You might be our person if...

  • You've got experience in sales support, commercial administration or account coordination.
  • You're genuinely organised and can juggle competing priorities, balancing regular deadlines with unexpected requests.
  • You're comfortable with Excel, figures and investigating the occasional mystery discrepancy.
  • You communicate clearly, both in writing and in person, and enjoy building good relationships.
  • You're confident following up with colleagues, suppliers and customers, even when it means politely chasing an answer.
  • You spot what needs doing, take responsibility for solving problems and see things through without needing constant prompting.
  • You're happy learning new systems and curious about using digital tools, including AI where appropriate, to work more efficiently while checking accuracy and respecting confidentiality.
  • You enjoy being part of a team where everyone pitches in when needed.

Experience in food, drink, wholesale, foodservice or a seasonal business would be useful, but it's not essential. We're interested in your skills, experience, approach to work and willingness to learn.

What's on the table?

  • Real Living Wage Employer
  • 20 days' holiday plus bank holidays, with extra days for long service
  • Pension contribution
  • Company sick pay scheme
  • Enhanced parental pay
  • A dedicated volunteering day to support a charity close to your heart
  • A friendly, collaborative team who genuinely care about what they do
  • The chance to develop your skills and make a real contribution to a growing family business
  • Free ice cream. Obviously.

Our values

Family Values. Forward Thinking. Extra Mile. Resilient. Proud.

We're a family business with big ambitions, but we haven't forgotten where we started. We care about our customers, our people and, of course, our cows. They're not just part of the scenery; they're at the heart of our farm and everything we do. After all, without them, we'd have a rather difficult time making ice cream!

We believe in looking after each other, doing the right thing and taking pride in what we produce, from the field to the final scoop.
