Acuity Associates is exclusively retained to appoint a CFO for an established, highly profitable business in the industrial equipment and services sector.

With revenues approaching £10m, a strong market position and ambitious shareholders, the business is entering an exciting phase of growth.

The next three years will focus on scaling the business, improving commercial performance and building the financial infrastructure expected of a significantly larger organisation.

The opportunity

Working directly with the Managing Director and shareholders, you will:

• Shape financial strategy and challenge commercial decision-making.
• Build a scalable finance function, with stronger reporting, forecasting and controls.
• Improve visibility of pricing, profitability, asset utilisation and operational performance.
• Drive cash generation, working capital and disciplined investment decisions.
• Help create an investment-ready business with genuine strategic options for shareholders.

Who we're looking for

An accomplished Finance Director or CFO who combines commercial judgement with a genuinely hands-on approach.

You'll have operated in an entrepreneurial SME or similarly lean environment and be able to demonstrate tangible improvements you've personally delivered.

Experience in equipment rental, industrial services, engineering, manufacturing, distribution or other operationally complex businesses would be relevant.

Private equity or transaction experience is useful, but the ability to build, challenge and improve a business matters more.

This is a chance to play a central role in the growth of an already successful company, with meaningful influence and long-term value participation.

Package: £140k–£160k + (DOE) + bonus + LTIP.
