This placement is designed to help you develop an understanding of the built environment, learn about professional careers in the industry, and experience what it's like to work alongside experts delivering award-winning projects around the world.

With over 3,000 people across 28 countries, Gleeds offers a diverse and supportive environment where you'll have the opportunity to learn, ask questions and discover where your future career could take you.

During your placement, you'll have the opportunity to:

• Shadowing experienced professionals
• Attending meetings and team activities
• Supporting research and project-based tasks
• Developing workplace and professional skills
• Learning about different career opportunities within Gleeds
• Building connections with colleagues across the business

About The Candidate

What we're looking for

We're looking for enthusiastic individuals who are keen to learn, explore new opportunities and gain an understanding of the built environment.

You'll ideally demonstrate:

• A positive and enthusiastic attitude
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Good organisation and attention to detail
• A willingness to learn and ask questions
• An interest in construction consultancy
• The ability to work collaboratively with others

What you’ll need

• This programme is open to students in Years 11, 12 and 13, as well as university students, Career changers. Applicants must be aged 14 or over at the time of the placement.
• Open to individuals looking to gain work experience and explore career opportunities within the built environment.
• Applicants must have the right to undertake work experience in the UK for the duration of the programme.
