Role Overview

Join Sofina Foods as a Site Services Engineer and play a vital role in keeping our manufacturing operation running safely, efficiently and reliably. Working as part of a dedicated Site Services team, you'll provide first-response engineering support across essential utilities and help minimise downtime in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your technical expertise while contributing directly to operational success.

4 on 4 off shift pattern, days - 05:30 – 17:30.

Key Duties

As a Site Services Engineer, you'll support the delivery of reliable site services that keep production moving safely and efficiently.

You will:

• Deliver first-response engineering support to site services equipment and utilities
• Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance activities
• Support the operation of water, steam, compressed air and refrigeration systems
• Diagnose faults, identify root causes and implement effective solutions
• Contribute to improvements that enhance equipment reliability and energy efficiency
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance
• Complete maintenance records accurately and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to minimise downtime

Ideal Candidate

• Experienced in a manufacturing, food production or factory environment
• Qualified in welding and fabrication (essential)
• Knowledgeable in boiler operation and maintenance (essential)
• Familiar with water, steam, air and refrigeration plant systems
• A practical problem-solver with strong fault-finding skills
• Committed to working safely and following compliance requirements
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a wider engineering team
• Interested in developing your skills through ongoing training and development opportunities
