Bridge Estimator

Allerton Steel is looking for someone to join our existing team and develop a career in Bridge Estimation.

What will you be doing?

As part of the estimating team, your role will include:

• Assessing new enquiries to make sure they fit our requirements.

• Preparing cost estimates and obtaining supplier quotations where needed.
• Preparing clear and accurate customer quotations.

• Reading engineering, architectural and design & build drawings.

• Producing material take-offs from drawings.

What are we looking for?

• Be able to read and understand fabrication drawings.

• Be comfortable using Excel, Word and Outlook.

• Be organised and able to manage your workload.

• Have excellent attention to detail.

• Communicate well, both verbally and in writing.

• Be keen to learn and develop within the role.

CAD experience would be an advantage but isn’t essential.

All levels of experience will be considered, and training will be provided where required.

Office-based

37 hours per week Monday–Thursday: 8.00am–5.00pm Friday: 8.00am–1.00pm

Salary dependent on experience, suitability and ability
