About Bright Software Group

At Bright, we are powering the digital practice of tomorrow – today.

We deliver products that help accountants, payroll bureaus, and businesses across the UK and Ireland work smarter and win more. Our portfolio spans payroll, accounting, tax, and practice management, built around the people who use them every day.

We believe understanding is the difference between working and winning.

The Role

The CRM/HubSpot Systems Architect brings systems architecture and data-structure expertise to our commercial operations. Engaged on a 12-month contract, the role reports formally to the Chief Operating Officer, with day-to-day direction from the Director of Revenue Operations. The post-holder designs how HubSpot is governed and built, and raises the technical capability of the wider team.

What You'll Do

  • Manage the CRM data model, integration architecture and governance standards — the framework the wider operations team works within.
  • Manage and govern existing HubSpot workflows, reducing sprawl and keeping automation reliable as the system scales.
  • Own properties governance, and support form creation and lead-scoring governance; support Marketing Ops on HubSpot execution — including lead distribution and routing.
  • Own middleware, integration data filters and sync troubleshooting, and the onboarding framework for new business units as they come onto HubSpot.
  • Own data hygiene across contacts, companies and deals — deduplication, enrichment and compliance — protecting data integrity through any migrations.
  • Document system architecture, data dictionaries and standard operating procedures, and support user training and adoption.
  • Provide hands-on architecture and systems support to the wider operations team, reducing reliance on any single specialist.
  • Bring broader CRM/commercial-systems experience beyond HubSpot where possible (for example, ChurnZero, Zendesk, or an equivalent platform).
  • Build the AI workflow infrastructure needed to support new product launches.

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • Strong HubSpot architecture and administration experience at enterprise scale (multiple integrations, high workflow volume), ideally including at least one full implementation or major platform reconfiguration.
  • Experience designing data models and governance frameworks for CRM platforms, not just operating within them.
  • Comfortable working to a dual reporting structure, with clear, proactive communication to both lines.
  • Able to work independently and deliver to a defined scope within a fixed contract term.
  • Uses AI tools confidently in day-to-day work, and actively seeks new ways to apply them to do the job better.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with adjacent commercial systems such as Zendesk or ChurnZero, in addition to HubSpot.
  • Experience supporting a business through an active M&A/acquisition integration programme.
  • Experience in SQL, Power BI or other Data manipulation tools.
  • Background in a PE-backed or multi-brand group structure.
  • Advanced HubSpot certifications.
