Biggleswade, Bedfordshire | £35,000–£40,000 depending on experience

Knightwell Recruitment is speaking with an accountancy practice in Biggleswade that is open to considering an experienced Semi-Senior or Senior Accountant for addition to its team.

The position would suit an accountant who enjoys varied practice work and building strong client relationships. Responsibilities would be agreed according to experience and could include:

• Preparing year-end accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.

• Preparing corporation tax computations and self-assessment tax returns.

• Completing VAT returns and supporting clients with bookkeeping queries.

• Managing client relationships and responding to day-to-day accounting queries.

• Working with accounting software to maintain accurate client records.

• Supporting colleagues and reviewing junior team members’ work where appropriate.

About you

• Experience working within a UK accountancy practice.

• Confidence preparing accounts and handling associated tax compliance.

• AAT qualified, ACA/ACCA part-qualified or qualified, or qualified by experience.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage deadlines.

• Clear communication skills and a practical approach to client service.

• Interest in an accounts-focused role within the Biggleswade area.

Salary guide: £35,000–£40,000, depending on experience. Responsibilities, working arrangements and the overall package would be discussed with suitable candidates.
