Compass Associates are delighted to be working with a quality-focused care provider who are looking to appoint an experienced, permanent Home Manager to lead a large nursing, residential and dementia care home.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Home Manager to build on an established service's success. With a Good CQC rating, high occupancy and a stable workforce, the home offers strong foundations for its next leader.

The Role

As Home Manager, you will lead a large nursing, residential and dementia home through its next stage of development, providing continuity and clear direction so that residents and families continue to feel confident in their care.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Leading the day-to-day operation of the home, maintaining strong care standards, effective governance and compliance with CQC requirements
• Coaching the Deputy Manager and wider team, developing capability and future leaders, and building a positive culture through visible leadership and consistent communication
• Maintaining high occupancy through quality care and trusted relationships with families and community partners
• Managing budgets and workforce planning, sustaining a stable workforce with minimal agency reliance

Requirements

• Experience as a Home Manager, with a record of developing motivated teams and delivering high-quality care
• Sound understanding of CQC requirements and the judgement to maintain standards within a nursing, residential and dementia service
• Strong commercial awareness, including occupancy, budgets and workforce planning
• Confidence leading projects and managing change
• Ability to remain calm and make considered decisions under pressure
• An approachable, visible leader who listens, builds trust and supports colleagues to succeed
