Head of Quality

Preston / Hybrid Working (UK-Wide Travel Required)

£100,000 - £110,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus + Benefits

I'm supporting a leading infrastructure and civil engineering business in the search for a Head of Quality to lead and develop their quality function across a diverse portfolio of major projects and frameworks.

The successful candidate will lead a team of quality professionals across multiple business units, working closely with senior operational leaders, clients and framework teams to ensure quality remains at the heart of project delivery.

Key responsibilites:

• Lead the national quality function and quality strategy
• Develop and mentor a team of quality professionals
• Drive governance, assurance and continuous improvement initiatives
• Partner with operational leaders across major programmes and frameworks
• Represent quality at senior leadership and board level
• Support client engagement and strengthen relationships across key frameworks
• Influence senior stakeholders and represent Quality at Executive and Board level

About you:

• Proven experience in a senior Quality leadership role within infrastructure, civil engineering, construction, utilities, defence, energy or a related sector
• Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems and ISO 9001
• Experience leading and developing high-performing Quality teams
• Demonstrable track record of driving quality improvement
• Ability to balance strategic leadership with operational delivery

This is not a traditional compliance-focused Quality role. We're looking for a visible and influential leader who can shape business strategy, build strong relationships across the organisation and drive continuous improvement throughout a complex infrastructure environment.
