Why join mfg?

You’ll be joining a regional law firm with a strong reputation, recognised in the Legal 500 and Chambers Guide, made possible by our exceptional people. We want you to love the work you do, to help us attract the people we need for the future and feel great about working with us.

The HR Team

We’re a small and friendly team of six, providing professional HR services to around 260 professional and support colleagues. The team is led by Sarah Rogers, Head of HR, and you’ll report to and work closely with Simon Lord, HR Manager, as well as hiring managers across the firm.

You’ll be based in Kidderminster, with travel to our Birmingham, Bromsgrove, Ludlow, Telford, Waterfront (Brierley Hill) and Worcester offices as required. You’ll also support graduate and university careers fairs across the region, primarily between September and November annually.

The Role

We’re looking for an experienced in-house Recruitment Advisor. Supporting around 260 colleagues across the firm, you’ll take ownership of end-to-end recruitment across legal, professional and business support roles, working closely with hiring managers to find and secure great people.

What you’ll be doing

  • Managing vacancies from briefing through to offer and onboarding
  • Proactively sourcing talent using LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards and direct search
  • Building talent pipelines and developing sourcing strategies for hard-to-fill roles
  • Advising hiring managers
  • Using recruitment data and market insight to inform recruitment activity
  • Supporting graduate and trainee solicitor recruitment, co-ordinating work placements for perspective trainees.
  • Helping us strengthen our employer brand and candidate experience

What we’re looking for

Previous in-house recruitment experience is essential. You’ll be a confident recruiter and direct sourcer, with strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to manage multiple vacancies and priorities.

Professional services experience and/or graduate recruitment experience would be an advantage.

Based: Kidderminster, with travel across our other mfg offices and to regional university careers fairs

35-hour working week

25 days’ holiday, plus additional Christmas days and Bank Holidays, with holiday buy/sell scheme

Competitive salary plus pension, death in service, EAP and other benefits

You’ll be joining a supportive, people-first regional law firm recognised in the Legal 500 and Chambers Guide, where over 95% of colleagues told us in our 2025 engagement survey that mfg is a great place to work and that they’re proud to work here.
