The Parochial Church Council (PCC) of Wiggenhall St. Germans wishes to appoint an architect to lead a programme of urgent repair.

The Parochial Church Council (PCC) of Wiggenhall St. Germans, King’s Lynn PE34 3EY wishes to appoint an architect to lead a scheme of remedial works to the church building, beginning with the urgent repair of the north aisle roof.

Our previous architect has now retired, so we are looking to appoint an experienced conservation accredited architect, to take this project on and carry out our quinquennial inspection, due in 2027. Wiggenhall St. Germans Church is a Grade 1 listed building, renowned for its exceptional 15th century woodcarvings and benches, and is part of the historic ‘Wiggenhall’ group of churches. The church is an active church that also hosts community events and is on the ‘at risk’ register.

The PCC has funds towards the repairs, helped by a recent generous donation, however the physical completion of the works will be subject to a grant funding application.

We would like to invite you to apply for this opportunity.
