Production Operative – Daventry Metal Products

Location: Daventry, Northamptonshire (NN11)

Pay: £14.00/hr (~£32,760/year basic) + premium overtime (1.5x / 2.0x)

Hours: 45 hrs/week (Mon–Thu 07:00–17:15 | Fri 07:00–13:00 — Early finish Friday)

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent (Direct Employer — No Agencies)

About the Role

Daventry Metal Products is hiring a reliable Production Operative to join our established, growing manufacturing team.

Key Responsibilities

• General metalworking: materials handling, deburring, and component assembly.
• Workshop operations: drilling, sawing, tapping, and basic press brake operation.
• Assisting with semi-automatic brazing, spot welding, and component pressure testing.
• Operating machinery (including robotic welders where trained) and maintaining a tidy work area.

What We Are Looking For

• Dexterous, methodical, and self-motivated with good attention to detail.
• Reliable and punctual, able to work well independently and within a team.
• Experience with machine operation or robotic welding is desirable but not essential.
• Valid right to work in the UK.
