Due to continued growth across the UK water industry, OCU Group is looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical & Electrical Site Manager to support the delivery of wastewater infrastructure and treatment projects across our expanding Water sector.

This is a key role within the business, responsible for overseeing mechanical, electrical, MEICA, and associated civil works throughout the full project lifecycle. You will play an important part in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards within live operational wastewater environments.

As a Mechanical & Electrical Site Manager, you will oversee day-to-day site operations across wastewater treatment and infrastructure projects, coordinating site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labour to ensure works are delivered in line with programme, budget, and client expectations.

The role will involve carrying out initial site surveys and preparing job packs, identifying any operational or safety concerns prior to works commencing. You will take responsibility for productivity, planning, compliance, and coordination across all site activities, ensuring projects maintain high standards of safety, quality, and performance throughout delivery.

You will lead site meetings to discuss programme, site conditions, and operational requirements while maintaining strong communication with clients, local authorities, and other key stakeholders. The role will also involve managing customer queries and project closeout activities, ensuring all documentation and records are completed accurately and efficiently.

Health, safety, environmental, and quality management will form a key part of the role. You will support HSE improvement initiatives, conduct site inspections and audits, produce and review RAMS, and promote a strong safety culture across all project activities.

Working closely with project managers, engineers, and commercial teams, you will help ensure successful delivery across a range of wastewater treatment and infrastructure schemes.

Skills, Knowledge And Expertise

We are looking for someone with previous experience delivering Mechanical, Electrical, and MEICA works within the water or wastewater sector. Experience working on wastewater treatment projects is essential, alongside a strong understanding of site operations within live operational environments.

You should hold a valid SMSTS qualification and have a strong background in health, safety, and quality management within infrastructure or utility projects.

A strong understanding of civil works, including deep excavations and shoring activities, is important within this role, alongside the ability to accurately measure and record daily site progress.

Candidates should be highly organised with excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of coordinating multiple workstreams and managing site teams effectively within fast-paced project environments.

Experience using Microsoft Office packages and managing project documentation is also required.
