Our future research will explore how rehabilitation data, clinical information and patient-reported outcomes can support a deeper understanding of recovery.
We are looking for someone who combines advanced medical statistics, strong practical AI and machine-learning experience, and scientific leadership.
The experience we are seeking
• A PhD in statistics, mathematics, computer science, AI, biostatistics or a closely related discipline, supported by substantial relevant research or industry experience.
• A demonstrated record of designing, implementing and validating AI and machine-learning models, including experience with deep learning and complex longitudinal, time-series or multimodal data.
• Strong statistical foundations, including experience in areas such as Bayesian inference, longitudinal modelling, survival analysis and uncertainty quantification.
• Significant responsibility for clinical research, medical-data analysis or healthcare technology development, including study design, rigorous validation and interpretation of findings.
• A strong publication record or equivalent evidence of delivering technically demanding research and successful healthcare AI projects.
• Practical proficiency in Python and R, reproducible analysis and reliable data pipelines, with experience using modern machine-learning frameworks.
• Experience contributing to competitive funding applications, working across clinical and technical teams, and communicating complex findings clearly.
Chartered Statistician status or comparable professional recognition would be welcome. Experience with rehabilitation, musculoskeletal health, sensor data or NHS datasets would be particularly valuable.
We want to build a lasting relationship with someone who will help shape AI Rehab’s scientific direction and grow with the company, with a view to equity participation over time.
An initial flexible or part-time arrangement can be discussed. Responsibilities, time commitment, remuneration and any future equity arrangements would be agreed together.
