Coffee operations speacialist

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end execution of physical green coffee contracts, including purchases, sales and shipments.
• Coordinate with coffee traders, suppliers, customers, warehouses, freight forwarders and shipping lines.
• Prepare and verify shipping documents, including bills of lading, certificates of origin, phytosanitary certificates and invoices.
• Monitor shipment schedules, vessel movements, delivery deadlines and contractual obligations.
• Manage inventory movements, warehouse releases, stock reconciliations and logistics costs.
• Ensure accurate trade capture and updates within the trading or ERP system.
• Support contract execution under relevant coffee trade terms, including ECF and GCA rules.
• Coordinate with Finance on invoicing, payments, letters of credit and documentary collections.
• Resolve operational discrepancies, quality claims, demurrage and shipment delays.
• Monitor operational risks and ensure compliance with internal procedures.

Requirements

Candidate requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, International Trade or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in physical coffee operations, ideally green coffee.
• Knowledge of international shipping, Incoterms, import/export documentation and trade finance.
• Familiarity with coffee contracts, quality specifications and warehouse procedures.
• Experience with commodity trading or ERP systems.
• Strong English communication skills and attention to detail.
