About the role…
Provide high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) engineering support to experienced and qualified technician / senior technicians absorbing expertise, knowledge and experience to support development into a competent technician.
Support installation projects, planned preventative maintenance activities, test & commissioning, electrical system repairs safely and reliably.
Trainee Technician you will be….
Perform routine maintenance checks, test and inspections, both non-intrusively and intrusively.
Where appropriate respond and support emergency electrical failures or power outages.
Set-Up test equipment for the testing of Switchgear, Transformers, Circuit Breakers and cabling.
Conduct typical testing activities such as insulation resistance testing, earth testing, protection relay tests and condition assessments to verify equipment is fit-for-purpose OR to locate and fix system issues.
Work under strict safety rules such as but not limited to permit to Work (PTW), the Electricity at work regulation and any other statutory regulations or standards.
Maintain accurate experience logs, test report sheets and service records as per company documentation.
