About The Role

Balfour Beatty Rail are currently recruiting for an MPV (Multi-Purpose Vehicle) Seasonal Treatment Fitter to join the team based in Tonbridge. The successful candidate will need to be proficient in and carry out, as required, fault finding and subsequent repair of the following disciplines: mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electric & electronic system.

What you'll be doing

Maintain OTMs (On Track Machines) to work instruction WI/RP/05.

Be proficient in and carry out, as required, fault finding and subsequent repair of three of the following disciplines: mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electric and electronic systems associated with OTMs.

Be proficient in carrying out, as required, verbal and written reports on faults, repairs, maintenance, accidents and incidents.

To ensure compliance with the Company’s Policies and Procedures on Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental.

Ensure you have a clear understanding of your standards and policies set down byyour line manager.

Safety awareness and to report any risk to your line manager.

Ensure regular communication between yourself and your line manager.

To undertake training as necessary

Undertake road vehicle driving as required

Who we're looking for

Ideally served a recognised apprenticeship

Ideally hold an NVQ L3 qualification in Engineering or equivalent

Experience of mechanical maintenance on any type of vehicle including; cars, vans, coaches/buses, military vehicles etc

Ability to work to timescales/deadlines

Health & Safety awareness

COSHH awareness

Must meet and maintain the appropriate medical standard for the position
