Plant Mechanic / Workshop Foreman

Bradford (BD15 0BS).

Salary: Competitive, based on experience.

We are currently restructuring our workshop and updating our procedures, and we are looking for a hands-on, reliable individual to join our service team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who not only has experience working with plant machinery but also wants to play an active role in improving workshop operations.

You will lead a small team, support the day-to-day running of the workshop and ensure all equipment is well maintained, organised, and ready for use.

· Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on a range of plant equipment.

· Perform routine servicing and preventative maintenance.

· Inspect and test equipment to ensure safety and compliance (LOLER/PUWER experience is desirable - training can be provided).

· Managing parts – ordering, replacing, and keeping downtime to a minimum.

· Completing service reports and keeping maintenance records up to date, working alongside our administration team to complete this.

· Primarily workshop-based, with occasional site visits as required.

· Experience working with a varied fleet of plant machinery, vehicles, and HGVs would be ideal but not essential for each category. Solid experience with plant machinery (excavators, dumpers, etc.) would be preferred.

· Ability to diagnose mechanical and hydraulic faults – electrical is desirable.

· A proactive approach to safety and maintenance.

· Full UK driving licence (up to 6 points considered).

· NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent would be an advantage.
