SEN Teaching Assistant – Specialist Secondary School | Bury

Milk Education are looking for a caring, patient and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive specialist secondary school in Bury ASAP. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a genuine difference to young people with additional needs, while gaining valuable experience in a specialist setting.

The Role

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support
  • Help pupils access learning and develop independence
  • Support communication, emotional regulation and behaviour
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
  • Assist with personalised and sensory learning activities
  • Work closely with teachers and support staff
  • Support pupils with a range of SEN and disabilities

Who we're looking for

You may already have SEN or Teaching Assistant experience, or have transferable experience from care, childcare, youth work, tutoring, coaching, support work or volunteering. Graduates are also encouraged to apply.

We're looking for someone who is empathetic, resilient, adaptable and passionate about helping young people thrive.
