Mortgage & Bridging Broker

Boxx Finance

Date: 3 weeks ago
City: Coatbridge, Scotland
Contract type: Full time

The role

Boxx Finance is growing in Scotland, and growing fast

Grown from a Regulated Mortgage arm, Boxx Finance has grabbed consumer attention with its refreshing approach to supporting clients who need bridging finance for a variety of reasons, including landlord portfolio growth, development finance, and even helping clients prevent repossession

We want an experienced, regulated broker to advise clients and place cases, mostly in bridging loans and buy-to-let and residential mortgages.

We believe the successful applicant will earn in excess of £100,000 per annum

You won't need to find your own clients. We give you a steady flow of new cases and leads

New enquiries from our marketing: website, paid search, referrals and our introducers

Refinance opportunities from our existing book will be the mainstay of your daily routine: bridging loans reaching their exit, landlords coming off fixed rates, and clients ready to move from a bridge onto a term mortgage, and in some instances refinancing the bridge the clients are on (dependent upon circumstances)

Your job is to turn those leads into completed cases, and existing cases needing refinancing into new products

You'll advise clients properly, match them to the right lender and see each case through to completion.

What you'll do

  • Contact new and refinance leads quickly, work out what each client needs and give compliant advice
  • Place bridging loans (regulated and unregulated), buy-to-let, residential and remortgage cases across the lender panel
  • Plan exit strategies at the start of every bridge, and keep in touch with clients before the term ends
  • Manage each case through the pipeline: packaging, underwriting questions, valuations and solicitors through to completion
  • Build relationships with lenders, BDMs, solicitors and introducers in Scotland
  • Keep accurate, compliant records on our CRM and meet all FCA and network requirements
  • What we're looking for

Essential

  • CeMAP or equivalent (CeRER/CeRGI or equivalent needed to advise on regulated bridging)
  • A proven track record as a mortgage adviser. Experience with bridging loans or specialist lending is a strong advantage
  • Good knowledge of the Scottish property process: missives, standard securities and how Scottish solicitors work, and a working knowledge of whole of UK
  • Confidence working as a self-employed adviser and managing your own pipeline
  • Clear, honest communication with clients and a strong commitment to getting the advice right

Desirable

  • Experience with landlord and portfolio clients, including limited-company buy-to-let, HMOs and refurbishment projects
  • Existing relationships with specialist and bridging lenders
  • Commercial or semi-commercial lending experience

What we offer

  • Uncapped earnings. Your commission split is [30% - 50%] of procuration fees and client fees
  • All leads provided at no cost to you, both new business and refinance from our existing book
  • A recurring pipeline. Clients on bridging loans and fixed-rate products come back to refinance
  • Hybrid working from our Glasgow office and home
  • Full support: compliance through [network/principal firm) a CRM, sourcing systems and case administration
  • A growing firm where you can shape how the Scottish side of the business develops
